As a car enthusiast and collector for many years, I invite you to discover my collection of 24 Hours of Le Mans Model cars on Bernard Models. This exceptional selection brings together the most beautiful reproductions of the cars that have marked the history of the most prestigious endurance race in the world. Each model tells a story, that of legendary drivers, visionary manufacturers, and unforgettable moments etched in the collective automotive memory.
A specialist dealer at your service
As a passionate dealer, I offer a selection of Le Mans 24 Hours model cars that reflects my current stock rather than a complete collection. This approach allows me to offer you a constantly updated variety, with models carefully chosen for their quality and historical authenticity.
My collection consists mainly of 1/43 scale Models , an ideal format for collectors looking for a perfect balance between detail and storage space. You will also find 1/24 and 1/18 models for those who prefer larger reproductions, as well as some rare pieces in HO 1/87 scale.
It is important to note that each model is available in limited stock , usually between 1 and 2 copies. This rarity makes the collection so interesting: all the Models you discover are actually available and ready to join your personal collection.
What will you find in this exceptional collection?
My selection of Le Mans 24 Hours model cars covers the entire history of this legendary race. You'll discover the victorious Ferraris of the 1960s, the dominant Porsches of the following decades, and modern prototypes that continually push the boundaries of technology.
French racing cars occupy a prominent place in this collection, with the legendary tricolor Matras and the daring Alpine-Renaults that thrilled the French public. Not to mention the modern Peugeots that returned to victory in the 2000s.
Every automotive era is represented, from the racing cars of the 1950s to contemporary prototypes, including the golden age of the 1970s and 1980s when manufacturers competed in ingenuity to conquer the Sarthe region.
The Fascinating History of the 24 Hours of Le Mans
Created in 1923, the 24 Hours of Le Mans race has become over the decades much more than a simple motorsport competition: it represents the very essence of endurance, technical innovation, and sportsmanship. This legendary event, which takes place every year on the Circuit de la Sarthe, has seen the birth of some of the greatest automotive legends.
The 24 Hours of Le Mans Model cars I offer retrace this exceptional history. Each model embodies a different era, a racing philosophy, and a different technical approach. From the first Bentleys of the 1920s to modern hypercars, including the revolutionary prototypes of the 1960s and 1970s, this collection is a true journey through automotive time.
The race was also the scene of major technical innovations: disc brakes, electronic injection, composite materials , all technologies developed at Le Mans which then equipped our production cars. Each Model in my collection carries within it this dimension of innovation and research for performance.
Anecdotes and legendary moments
Among the most memorable stories told by these 24 Hours of Le Mans Model cars , that of the Ford GT40 remains iconic. When Henry Ford II decided to beat Ferrari at Le Mans in the 1960s, he certainly didn't expect to create one of the most exciting rivalries in automotive history. The GT40's victory in 1966, after years of failure, remains one of the most emotional moments in motorsport.
The epic tale of French cars at Le Mans also deserves to be told. When the Matra MS670s won the 1972 and 1973 editions, they gave France its first victories since the pre-war period. These successes influenced a whole generation of enthusiasts and helped anchor the race in French popular culture.
More recently, the return of Porsche in 2015 after a 17-year absence, or the exploits of Toyota, which had to wait until 2018 to secure its first victory, demonstrate that Le Mans continues to create legends. Each Model in my collection carries within it these emotions, these victories, and these dramas that make this unique race so rich.
