Lancia's exceptional heritage
Founded in 1906 by Vincenzo Lancia , a former Fiat racing driver, the Italian brand quickly distinguished itself with its innovative approach to the automobile. From the very beginning, Lancia introduced revolutionary technical solutions: the first manufacturer to use a monocoque chassis, to adopt rack-and-pinion steering, and to offer a V6 engine as standard.
Lancia's history is characterized by a constant pursuit of technical excellence and refinement. The brand has left its mark on the Italian automotive industry with iconic models such as the Aurelia, the first production car equipped with a transaxle transmission, and the revolutionary Stratos, designed specifically to dominate rallies in the 1970s.
Lancia's golden years spanned the 1950s to the 1980s, a period during which the brand produced some of the most sophisticated and elegant automobiles on the European market. This era also saw Lancia's peak in motorsport, with resounding victories in rallying and notable participation in Formula 1.
A tradition of victories that inspires collectors
The most memorable anecdote in Lancia's history remains without a doubt its absolute domination of the World Rally Championship between 1974 and 1992. No other manufacturer has managed to equal Lancia's record of 11 manufacturers' titles won during this period. This supremacy is based on cars that have become legendary: the Stratos with its 3 consecutive titles, the Delta Integrale which revolutionized the discipline, and the Group B prototypes like the Delta S4.
This sporting tradition is rooted in the brand's very DNA. Vincenzo Lancia was a driver himself before becoming a manufacturer, and this passion for competition never left the company he founded. Even the most luxurious production models retained a sporty temperament, a characteristic that perfectly shines through in the Models in this collection.
