Welcome to my selection of IXO Model cars , one of the most respected collections in the world of model cars. On my Bernard Models website, I offer a carefully selected range of these exceptional reproductions that capture the essence of the automobile through the decades.
A Specialized Reseller at Your Service
As a passionate reseller, I would like to point out that the collections presented are not necessarily complete but faithfully represent the IXO model cars currently in stock in my shop. This selection is regularly updated according to the manufacturer's arrivals and availability.
My specialty focuses mainly on the 1/43rd scale , the reference format for collectors, but I also expand my offer with 1/24th and 1/18th models for those who prefer larger reproductions. A few pieces in HO scale (1/87th) complete this selection for model railway enthusiasts.
Each model is available in limited stock , usually between 1 and 2 copies. This rarity makes each acquisition a unique opportunity. All the Models you discover on this page are those that are actually available for sale today.
What You Can Find in This Collection
IXO model cars cover an impressive spectrum of automotive history. In my selection, you'll discover legendary rally models , legendary Formula 1 cars , and racing cars that have left their mark on their era.
The richness of this collection is also expressed through its classics from the 1950s to 1979 , the golden period of French and European automobiles. Fans of more contemporary vehicles are not forgotten with a selection of modern models representing the technological evolution of the automotive industry.
The History of IXO: A Heritage of Precision
Founded in the 1990s, IXO Models quickly established itself as a leading name in the world of Model cars. This Portuguese brand has built its reputation on a simple yet demanding philosophy: to reproduce the details of each vehicle with surgical precision, whether it's an iconic sports car or a production model that marked its era.
IXO's approach is distinguished by its particular attention to historical details . Each Model tells a story, that of an era, a race, a driver or a technical innovation. This documentary approach makes each IXO model a true testimony to the global automotive evolution.
The brand has particularly distinguished itself in the field of motorsport , developing partnerships with the biggest names in rallying and racing. This expertise is reflected in the exceptional quality of the liveries, the accuracy of the proportions and the authenticity of the technical details reproduced.
A Noteworthy Anecdote: The Model Rally Revolution
A fascinating anecdote perfectly illustrates IXO's impact on the world of Models: the democratization of rally models . Before the arrival of IXO, Model rally cars were mainly the preserve of specialized manufacturers, often at prohibitive prices.
IXO revolutionized this market by offering high-quality reproductions at affordable prices , allowing a new generation of collectors to discover the exciting world of rallying. This democratization coincided with the golden age of the World Rally Championship, creating an emotional bridge between sporting achievements and their Model representation.
This approach has helped preserve the memory of legendary races and legendary drivers, transforming each Model into a time capsule recalling the great moments of motorsport in the 1980s and 1990s.
Complete Your Model Collection
In the world of Model cars, IXO Model cars occupy a special place between accessibility and quality. They are an excellent complement to vintage Dinky Toys collections or high-end Minichamps models, offering a modern and documented alternative.
These Models are aimed at both experienced collectors and novice enthusiasts. Their diversity allows for the construction of coherent thematic collections: rally by era, specific manufacturers, or technological evolution. Scale compatibility with other leading brands facilitates integration into existing collections.
For French car enthusiasts, IXO models are an ideal gateway to the international scene, allowing them to discover foreign models with the same high standards of quality. This complementarity greatly enriches their understanding of global automotive history.
The Perfect Gift Idea
An IXO model car makes the perfect gift for a birthday, Father's Day, or the holiday season. These models combine emotional value with lasting quality, creating lasting memories for car enthusiasts of all ages.
Whether introducing a young enthusiast or enriching the collection of an enlightened enthusiast, each IXO Model tells a unique story. Choosing a specific model can evoke personal memories : a first car, a memorable race, or simply admiration for a particular automotive design.

Did You Know? Anecdotes and Curiosities about our Miniatures
What makes the IXO brand special in the world of model cars?
IXO Models is a French brand founded in 1999, specializing in replicas of sports, rally, and endurance cars. It stands out for its detailed 1:43 scale models and its close collaboration with car manufacturers to ensure the authenticity of its liveries and technical details.
Why are IXO rally car models so popular with collectors?
IXO faithfully reproduces the legendary World Rally Championship (WRC) cars with exceptional detail: race damage, dust, period stickers, and even driver signatures. Each model captures a specific moment in rally history, such as a specific stage in Monte Carlo or Finland.
What makes IXO finishes so realistic compared to other manufacturers?
IXO uses a multi-layer pad printing technique and selectively applies matte and glossy varnishes to reproduce different textures. Windshields are treated with a special film to mimic the effect of tinted windows, and rims are often made of separate metal for a more authentic look.
How does IXO obtain licenses to reproduce official racing cars?
IXO works directly with racing teams, manufacturers, and sometimes even drivers to secure reproduction rights. The brand has partnerships with Citroën Racing, Ford M-Sport, and Hyundai Motorsport, which gives it access to original technical plans and exact livery specifications.
Are there any limited series or special editions at IXO that are particularly sought after?
Yes, IXO regularly produces numbered limited editions, particularly to commemorate historic victories. The 'Dirty Version' models of rally cars, reproducing the condition of the car after a special stage, are particularly sought after. Some series, such as the '24 Hours of Le Mans Winners', are limited to 1,000 units worldwide.
