Discover the Miniatures JournalDiscover the Peugeot Model cars in my collection
Welcome to the fascinating world of Peugeot model cars , a carefully curated selection that traces the exceptional history of this iconic French brand. As a specialist dealer, I offer you here an overview of my current stocks, representing the different eras and models that have marked the evolution of Peugeot since its beginnings in the automobile industry.
A constantly evolving selection of resellers
My collection of Peugeot Models primarily reflects the models currently available in stock . As a dealer, I do not claim to offer a complete collection, but rather a representative selection that regularly evolves according to arrivals and market opportunities. This approach allows me to offer you a constantly renewed diversity.
The preferred scale remains 1/43 , the reference format for collectors, offering a perfect balance between detail and presentation space. You will also find models in 1/24 and 1/18 for the most prestigious pieces, as well as some examples in HO 1/87 scale for model railway enthusiasts.
Each model presented corresponds to a limited stock , generally between 1 and 2 copies per reference. This rarity makes each acquisition a unique opportunity, especially since the Models visible correspond exactly to what is available for sale.
A journey through Peugeot history
In this collection, you will discover the richness of Peugeot's heritage through its iconic family saloons such as the Peugeot 204, 304, 404 and 504 , true symbols of French know-how from the 1960s to the 1980s. Sports models are not left out, with the legendary coupés and convertibles that forged the brand's dynamic reputation.
Peugeot estate cars hold a special place, demonstrating the brand's adaptation to the family needs of the time. These elegant utility vehicles perfectly represent the French spirit of combining practicality and aesthetics.
The collection is also enriched with rally and competition models, illustrating Peugeot's constant sporting commitment, from the first motor races to recent endurance victories.
The legacy of a French industrial dynasty
Peugeot's history begins long before the automobile, with a family of industrialists from Franche-Comté who began working in metallurgy in the 18th century. The transition to the automobile gradually took place at the end of the 19th century, making Peugeot one of the pioneers of the global automotive industry .
Peugeot French cars have accompanied the social transformations of the 20th century. From the first small cars to modern sedans, each model reflects its era: the elegance of the 1950s , the democratization of automobiles in the 1960s , and the technological innovation of the following decades.
This evolution is reflected in the Models, where each architectural detail, each body line tells a part of this French industrial history. The careful finishing of the reproductions allows us to appreciate the work of Peugeot designers through the ages.
The lion who conquered the world
A fascinating anecdote concerns the Peugeot emblem: this famous lion does not come by chance, but from family history. The Peugeot brothers chose this symbol in reference to the coat of arms of Franche-Comté, their region of origin, where the lion represented strength, flexibility, and speed . What was initially engraved on the family saw blades has become one of the most recognizable automotive logos in the world.
This symbolism takes on its full meaning when we observe the evolution of Peugeot models: from the legendary robustness of the 404, capable of crossing Africa, to the agility of the 205 GTI which revolutionized the sports city car segment in the 1980s. Each Model in my collection carries within it this heritage of the lion, symbol of French identity in the global automobile industry.
Complete your Model collection with French excellence
Peugeot model cars occupy a central position in the world of French model cars. Their diversity allows for a cohesive collection, from entry-level models to the most exclusive versions. This richness offers multiple possibilities for presentation and theming.
For collectors passionate about French automobiles, Peugeots are a perfect match for Renault and Citroën models to recreate the golden age of French industry. Classic car enthusiasts will find Peugeots to be essential references illustrating major stylistic and technical developments.
The complementarity also extends to specialized themes: commercial and utility versions fit naturally into collections dedicated to professional vehicles, while sports versions enrich sets dedicated to motor racing. This versatility makes Peugeot Models a relevant choice for any collector wishing to develop a balanced and representative collection.
The gift idea that hits the mark
Choosing a Peugeot Model car as a gift means giving much more than just a collectible. Whether it's for a birthday, Father's Day, or Christmas, these Models directly affect the emotional memory of the recipient. Many people grew up with a family Peugeot or have fond memories of their first car.
The emotional dimension of these Models goes beyond their material value: they awaken memories and tell personal and family stories. A Model 404 can recall childhood holidays , while a Model 205 GTI evokes the carefree atmosphere of first outings with friends. This emotional charge makes each Peugeot Model a particularly meaningful gift.

A little-known story that reveals the surprising origins of this French car brand and its remarkable evolution.
Did You Know? Anecdotes and Curiosities about our Miniatures
Why did the lion become the emblem of Peugeot?
The Peugeot lion comes from the coat of arms of Franche-Comté, the Peugeot family's home region. Created in 1847 by Justin Blazer, it symbolizes the three qualities of Peugeot blades: strong teeth, flexible blades, and fast cutting.
Which Peugeot holds the record for the largest number of units produced?
The Peugeot 206 remains the best-selling car in the brand's history, with more than 8.7 million units produced between 1998 and 2012. It was voted European Car of the Year in 1999.
What makes the Peugeot 205 GTI so legendary?
The 205 GTI (1984-1994) is considered one of the best hot hatches of all time. With its featherweight 910 kg and 105 hp 1.6L engine, it offered an exceptional power-to-weight ratio and remarkable road handling.
Why do Peugeot model numbers always have a 0 in the middle?
Since 1929 with the 201, Peugeot has used a three-digit nomenclature with a central 0. The first digit indicates the size of the vehicle, the last the generation. This tradition is so deeply rooted that Peugeot even bought the rights to the number 'x0x' from Porsche in 1963.
What Peugeot innovation revolutionized the automotive industry in the 1970s?
Peugeot pioneered the use of diesel for passenger cars with the 403 Diesel in 1959, and later popularized the technology. The brand also introduced turbo diesel to the general public with the 505 Turbo Diesel in 1979.
