This Mitsubishi Pajéro N°211 model pays tribute to one of the most iconic vehicles of the 1992 Paris-Dakar Rally. Crafted with remarkable attention to detail, this collectible captures the spirit of the Dakar adventure and the drive to conquer that motivated the crews of this legendary 14th edition.
A true collector's item for car enthusiasts and rally-raid fans, this miniature naturally belongs in any collection dedicated to competition vehicles or to Japanese models that left their mark on motorsport history.
Launched in 1982, the Mitsubishi Pajéro quickly became a benchmark in the 4x4 world. Originally designed to meet the Japanese market's appetite for off-road vehicles, the Pajéro takes its name from the Argentine pampas cat, a symbol of freedom and adaptability to the harshest terrain.
From its first appearances at the Paris-Dakar Rally in the 1980s, the Pajéro revealed its exceptional competition potential. Its toughness, reliability and off-road capability quickly made it the weapon of choice for Mitsubishi teams tackling the most demanding events on the rally-raid calendar.
By 1992, the Pajéro had already proven itself on African tracks, racking up wins and earning its reputation as a desert champion. This 14th Paris-Dakar once again confirmed Japanese dominance over the toughest terrain on the planet.
Founded in 1917, Mitsubishi Motors Corporation has its roots in the Mitsubishi industrial conglomerate, one of Japan's oldest zaibatsu. In the 1990s, the three-diamond brand enjoyed a golden age, particularly in off-road vehicles and motorsport.
This period marked Mitsubishi's peak in rally-raid, when the brand developed distinctive expertise in designing vehicles capable of facing the most extreme conditions. The Pajéro Evolution programme benefited from all the company's technological advances, notably in all-wheel drive and adaptive suspension.
Mitsubishi's involvement in the Paris-Dakar shows its aim to turn rally-raid into a laboratory for innovation, where every kilometre driven in the desert fed into the development of production models for the general public.
The 14th edition of the 1992 Paris-Dakar Rally remains etched in memory as one of the toughest in its history. Starting from Paris on December 26, 1991 and heading for Cape Town in South Africa, this edition covered 13,500 kilometres across eleven countries, pushing human and mechanical endurance to their limits.
Weather conditions that year were particularly hostile. Exceptional sandstorms swept across the Sahara, turning navigation into a real nightmare for competitors. The Pajéro N°211 battled through this mineral hell with the determination that characterised Mitsubishi crews, weaving between dunes and technical obstacles.
The 1992 edition also marked a turning point in Dakar history with its first-ever stop in South Africa. This geographic expansion gave the event a particular political dimension, coming as apartheid was ending. Competitors discovered new landscapes, from the Kalahari desert to South African townships, giving this sporting adventure a unique historical resonance.
It was in this exceptional context that the Pajéro N°211 left its mark on rally-raid history, embodying Japanese technical excellence facing the challenges of the African continent. Every stage completed bears witness to Mitsubishi's technological mastery and to the dedication of the drivers who chose to trust this formidable conqueror of the sands.
This Pajéro N°211 model fits naturally alongside other iconic rally-raid miniatures. It pairs perfectly with other Paris-Dakar Rally vehicles to recreate the epic of this legendary race.
Collectors passionate about Mitsubishi vehicles will appreciate this model, which ideally completes a collection dedicated to the Japanese brand. It also sits excellently alongside other miniature 4x4s and racing cars to offer a complete overview of competition motoring.
This miniature appeals as much to seasoned collectors as to car enthusiasts looking to discover the world of model cars. It is also an ideal gift for rally-raid and adventure fans, recalling the glory days of the Paris-Dakar and the technical excellence of Japanese manufacturers. Its presence in a collection adds a historical and sporting dimension that greatly enriches the whole of the 1990s miniatures.

The scale is the reduction ratio between the real car and the model. At 1:43 scale, for example, every centimetre of the model represents 43 centimetres of the real vehicle.
In practice, a 1:18 Ferrari model is about 25–30 cm long, while at 1:43 it measures roughly 10 cm.
Our model cars mainly come in 1:43, 1:24, 1:18 and 1:87 (HO) scale. The scale is always listed on the product page.
The smaller the second number, the bigger the model (e.g. 1:18 is larger than 1:43).
Yes, every model car ships in its protective box. The box preserves its collector value and protects your model from dust and knocks.
We pack every order with great care: bubble wrap, snug padding and polystyrene. Your model car is fully secured on its way to you.
In-stock items ship within 24–48h. Allow 2–3 business days for mainland France with Colissimo, or 4–5 days with Mondial Relay.
I can't say exactly when new stock will arrive, as it comes in a trickle. Feel free to contact me and I'll let you know as soon as it's available.
